PSIM Yogyakarta, founded in 1929, is one of the clubs that created the Indonesian football association in 1930 and was national champion in 1932. After years in the lower divisions, the 'Laskar Mataram' won the second tier in 2024-25 and returned to the top flight, backed by the Brajamusti and The Maident supporter groups.

Because the club's traditional Mandala Krida ground in the city does not meet Super League standards, 2026-27 home games are at Sultan Agung Stadium in Bantul, about ten kilometres south of Malioboro.

Tips for visitors

  • Most general-admission tickets go first to the Brajamusti and The Maident presale, so watch the club's announcements for when online sales open on Loket.
  • Away supporters are often barred from big games (for example against Persebaya), and security is tight at derbies, so wear neutral colours or PSIM blue.
  • Matches are in Bantul, not Yogyakarta city, so book a ride back in advance; ride-hailing gets scarce around the stadium after full time.

Alternate venue: Mandala Krida Stadium, Yogyakarta: the club's traditional home in the city, not used for 2026-27 because it doesn't meet Super League requirements

Fixtures, venues and ticket rules change often. Check the club's official channels before you travel.
