Persija Jakarta is the club of the capital, founded in 1928 and holder of 11 national titles, the most of any Indonesian club. The 'Macan Kemayoran' (Kemayoran Tigers) play in red, and their supporters, The Jakmania, are one of the largest fan groups in the country. The match against Persib Bandung is known as the Derbi Indonesia.

Home games are at the 82,000-seat Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) in North Jakarta, one of the most modern stadiums in Southeast Asia, with Gelora Bung Karno in Senayan as the alternate venue. JIS has its own commuter rail station, which is the easiest way to get there.

Tips for visitors

  • Never wear blue to a Persija game. For the Persib derby, ticket sales in 2026 were limited to holders of a Jakarta KTP (ID card), so foreigners may be unable to buy for that fixture.
  • Check the venue on persija.id before you go. Home games switch between JIS and GBK, and the September 2026 Java United game was moved to Bali behind closed doors.
  • Take the KRL train to the JIS station, or Transjakarta. Driving needs a pre-registered Car Pass and the roads jam after the final whistle.

Alternate venue: Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (GBK), Senayan, Central Jakarta. The 2026-27 home game against Persib on 12 Sep 2026 was played there.

Fixtures, venues and ticket rules change often. Check the club's official channels before you travel.
