Madura United took its current form in 2016 when the old Pelita Jaya licence moved to Madura island. The nickname 'Laskar Sape Kerrab' honours Madura's famous bull races, and the club reached the Liga 1 final in 2023-24.

Home games are at the 7,000-capacity Gelora Madura Ratu Pamelingan Stadium in Pamekasan. Most visitors base themselves in Surabaya and drive across the Suramadu Bridge, around two and a half to three hours each way.

Tips for visitors

  • Away fans are banned, and high-risk games can switch to restricted or no-crowd formats at short notice. The November 2026 Arema match was first set behind closed doors before home fans were allowed back in.
  • Pamekasan is small, with limited hotels. Many visitors base themselves in Surabaya and drive over the Suramadu Bridge, allowing about 3 hours each way.
  • Madura is conservative and strongly Muslim. Dress modestly, and expect evening kick-offs to work around prayer times.

Alternate venue: Gelora Bangkalan Stadium, Bangkalan (used for part of earlier seasons and for training)

Fixtures, venues and ticket rules change often. Check the club's official channels before you travel.
